Choosing the Right Facebook Tracking Tool

Facebook offers several powerful tracking tools to help you monitor conversions, understand user behavior, and make data-driven decisions. In this article, we will discuss three essential Facebook tracking tools: the Multi Pixel App, Enhanced Data Reporting, and Conversions API (CAPI). By understanding the features and use cases of each tool, you can determine which one best suits your specific needs.

Facebook Multi Pixel App

In order to add your Facebook Pixel ID to your store, Shoplazza has simplified the process for you through an app called Multi Facebook Pixels  . You can add a pixel while setting up your Facebook Business Manager to monitor customer information and behavior on your online store.

This tool is particularly beneficial for managing multiple custom events and tracking conversions separately for better insights. No coding or developer resources are required for utilizing this tool. It offers a simple pixel integration process that allows you to incorporate up to a maximum of 20 pixels. These pixels enable you to track custom events and parameters tailored to your specific goals.

Limitations on using Facebook Multi pixel App

There are some limitations on customer data tracking through this App. Therefore, by using the Multi Pixel app, iOS 14 and iOS 14.5 users' data can't be tracked and reported due to the privacy policy.

Facebook Enhanced Data Reporting

Enhanced Data Reporting is an advanced feature that goes beyond standard pixel tracking. It enables you to collect more detailed information about user interactions on your store website. With Enhanced Data Reporting, you gain valuable insights into specific actions like button clicks, form submissions, or custom events.

Limitations on using Facebook Enhanced Data Reporting

To access Facebook Enhanced Data Reporting, it is necessary to connect Facebook Business plugin with your store. Unfortunately, if you encounter permission issues that prevent you from authorizing the Facebook business plugin, you will be unable to utilize this feature.

Conversion API(CAPI)

If you are not able to connect Facebook business plugin to your Shoplazza store due to permission errors, the Conversions API (CAPI) comes into play. CAPI allows you to send events by connecting pixel IDs and access tokens. CAPI provides greater control over data accuracy, eliminates discrepancies caused by ad blockers or privacy settings, and offers a reliable tracking mechanism.

Note

If you would like to activate CAPI for your Shoplazza store, click here to follow the setup guide.

Limitation on using Conversion API(CAPI)

To activate the conversion API(CAPI) you would require Access tokens. A Facebook access token is a unique string of characters that allows you to access a user's Facebook data. Unfortunately, this feature can't be used if you can't generate Facebook Access tokens.

Choosing the right Facebook tracking tool is crucial for optimizing your Facebook advertising campaigns and making data-driven decisions. The Multi Pixel App, Enhanced Data Reporting, and Conversions API (CAPI) offer different functionalities to suit various tracking requirements. However, based on the limitations and your particular requirements, you may choose the one that best suits your needs.
