Hot swapping refers to the process of updating or replacing an app while it is running, without the need to stop or restart it. It allows for seamless transitions and reduces downtime. You can update code, configuration, or resources of an app without affecting its availability. In short, it is the immediate update experienced by a user when they open the app for the first time after downloading and installing it.
Note
The hot swapping feature only takes effect after your app has been published in the app store for the first time.
- If you have made modifications to the App design section, simply click Publish to sync the updated content to your app.
- If you do not want to publish the modifications immediately, you can click Save Draft before the updated contents are ready for publishing.
