HAR Positioning

What is the HAR Document?

The HAR document is an archive file format used to keep browser sessions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, etc. HAR is short for HTTP Archive Format. It records all page data records for a specific web page and is used to investigate and solve complex network problems. HAR documents can provide relevant network request information when there is a problem with the browser web page loading.

Chrome

1. Open your Chrome browser and go to the problematic webpage.

2. Click the three dots in the upper right corner, find More Tools, and click Developer Tools.

3. Find the Network tab in the panel.

4. Find the Record button in the left corner of the Network tab. Check to make sure it's red, if it's grey, click the button to start recording.

5. Click and check the Preserve log.

6. Find the Clear button and clear existing records.

7. Refresh the problematic web page, record the network request data and export it as an HAR document.

8. Right-click on the grid and select Save all as HAR with content, then save the document to your computer.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Open your Mozilla Firefox browser and go to the problematic webpage.

2. Click on the three lines in the upper right corner and find Web Developer.

3. Click the Network in the menu.

4. Firefox Firefox will automatically start recording network request data.

5. Refresh the problematic web page, right click on the grid and select Save All As HAR.

6. The browser will download the document to your Downloads folder by default.

Safari

To get an HAR document in Safari, you first need to go to the Develop menu in the menu bar. If this option is not in the menu bar, select Safari and then click Preferences to select Advanced. Then click on the box to enable the Show Development menu in the menu bar.

1. After opening the Develop menu in the menu bar, follow the steps below.

2. Open the Safari browser and click the Develop option in the menu.

3. Select Connect Web Inspector from the drop-down menu.

4. Click the Network tab to browse the web page problem you are facing.

5. Safari will automatically start recording network requests.

6. Copy the request for the web page problems encountered, and click the Export button on the right to export the HAR file.

Microsoft Edge

1. Open the Microsoft Edge browser.

2. Click the three dots in the upper right to open the browser menu and select More Tools.

3. In the drop-down menu, select Developer Tools. (Or press F12 to open developer options).

4. Select the Network tab and copy the web page problems.

5. Click and check the Preserve log.

6. Visit the problematic web page.

7. Click on any grid to select Save all as HAR with content.

Remote Assisted Positioning

Pre-work

1. Make an appointment with a customer service agent in advance for a specific time, accurate to within 5 minutes.

2. Customers can operate according to the following instructions and keep the site unchanged.

Chrome

1. Open your Chrome browser and go to the problematic page.

2. Click the three dots in the upper right corner, find More Tools, and click Developer Tools.

3. Find the Network tab in the panel.

4. Find the Record button in the left corner of the Network Check to make sure it's red, if it's grey, click the button to start recording.

5. Click and check the Preserve log.

6. Find the Clear button and clear existing records.

8. Reserve the site and contact the customer service agent for remote assistance.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Open the Mozilla Firefox browser and go to the problematic
