The Product Option app introduces the ability to upload fonts. This functionality not only broadens the scope of personalization available to your customers but also plays an important role in distinguishing your brand's style and identity. By enabling font uploads for text attributes, each product can be tailored to reflect the unique tastes and preferences of your customers, making every customization personal.
Note
- Supported Themes: Ensure your store theme is among those compatible with the app, including Lifestyle, Nova2023, Hero, Eva, Flash, Geek, Impress, and Wind.
- Attributes Supporting Font Uploads: The app currently supports font uploads for text attributes, enabling a broader range of customization for text-based product options.
- Quick Add-to-Cart Module: The product option does not support the Quick Add-to-Cart module at this time, which may influence the checkout experience for customers seeking speed and convenience.
Accessing the Product Option app
1. Access the app: Navigate to the Apps section in your Shoplazza admin, find the Product Options app among your installed apps, and open it.
Selecting products for customization
1. Choose your canvas: Selecting the right products for customization is essential. This step involves choosing products that will benefit from added customization options. For detailed guidance on adding or selecting product attributes for customization, consult the dedicated guide titled Product option | Setting Customized Product Attributes.
Uploading text
1. Custom text options: Begin by incorporating text as a customizable option for your products.
2. Enable Preview custom effects: Activate the Preview custom effects button to allow customers to visualize the customization in real-time.
3. Font upload process: Initiate the upload by clicking the Upload Font button, then select a local TTF format file, ensuring it does not exceed 20MB. Successful uploads will expand the font selection dropdown menu, integrating the new font into your store’s customization toolkit.
4. Finalize settings: Ensure all settings are finalized by clicking the Save button. This action confirms and applies all the customization settings you've configured.
Displaying customizations
1. Customer preview: The final customization, including the newly uploaded font, will be displayed to customers as shown in the image below. This visual representation helps customers see the potential outcome of their personalized product, enhancing the overall shopping experience and satisfaction.
