Setting up a custom domain for your online store is an essential step in building your brand and establishing your online presence. Customizing your domain and email settings is a straightforward process that significantly boosts the professionalism and memorability of your brand. This guide outlines how to set up a custom domain and email for your Shoplazza store, highlighting its significance:
- Professionalism: A custom domain makes your store look more professional and trustworthy to potential customers.
- Brand Identity: It helps establish your brand identity, making it easier for customers to remember your store's web address.
- SEO Benefits: Search engines like Google prefer websites with custom domains, which can lead to higher search engine rankings and more organic traffic.
Connecting your custom domain to Shoplazza
By default, your store's domain will use the subdomain displayed in the format of yourstorename.myshoplaza.com. To personalize your online presence, you can connect up to 20 custom domains. One of these will be your primary domain, which will direct all incoming traffic.
1. From your Shoplazza admin > Settings > Domain, find the Domain list section and click Connect existing domain.
2. Enter your custom domain in the text box (e.g., yourstorename.abc.com or www.yourstorename.abc.com). Then, click Next.
Note
Ensure your domain starts with "www" or the domain name itself (without "https://"). Incorrect formats like "https://www.yourstorename.abc.com" should be avoided.
3. Click Verify connection to link your custom domain to your store.
Note
Ensure the A record and CNAME are correctly configured in your third-party domain settings before moving forward.
4. If your custom domain is available, it will be connected to your store. Click Completed to complete the process. If failed, you will be prompted. Click Previous to check for errors that occurred.
Note

Setting up your custom email
To maintain a professional image and instill confidence in your customers, we recommend using your custom domain for all email addresses associated with your Shoplazza store, such as those for customer support and order inquiries. This ensures that your customers know they are contacting a legitimate representative of your store and can help build trust in your brand.
