Password Protection for Your Online Store

You can restrict customer access to your online store by enabling the password protection function. You can create a password and give it to customers that you want to enter your store.

Add Password Protection to Your Online Store

  1. From your Shoplazza admin, go to Settings > Store information. 
  2. Navigate to the Password protection section.
  3. Click the switch button to enable Password protection.
  4. Set the Password and complete the Message for your visitors.
  5. Click Save.
  6. After the password protection is enabled, the password is required to access your online store homepage.
  7. For the newly registered store without binding a bank card, password protection is automatically enabled. 
  8. After you add the bank card info , the password protection will be disabled by default.


  • The default password is randomly generated by the system with 6 characters.
  • You can reset the password with a maximum of 100 characters.
  • Messages for your visitors are limited to 500 characters.

Remove password protection from your online store

If you remove password protection, then anyone can visit your online store.You can only remove password protection from your store after you bind your bank card. If you pick a plan while you are on a free trial, then you won't be charged any subscription fees until your free trial expires.

  1. From your Shoplazza admin, go to Settings > Store information
  2. Navigate to the Password protection section.
  3. Uncheck the switch button to disable Password protection.
  4. Click Save.

View Your Online Store Through Admin

After password protection is enabled, you can still access the store's homepage through the admin without entering a password. The notification of password protection will be displayed at the bottom of the page. Click the note to view the password protection page.

If you have not bound the bank card, go to the Plan and Payment section to bind your bank card to remove access restrictions.

View Your Online Store as a Customer When Password Protection is Enabled

After password protection is enabled in your online store, customers need to enter the password to access your store homepage.

1. Browsing the store domain (URL) to access your store. 

2. On the landing page, fill in the password and click Enter to get access to  the homepage.
