PayPal | Pending orders explained

Sometimes, orders appear as "pending" in PayPal. This usually happens when customers use eCheque. eCheque need time to clear, which can cause a delay between when the customer places the order and when it's fully processed. This article explains addressing this by turning off eCheque as a payment option. This will give you more control over your order processing and improve the customer experience.

Turning off eCheque

Here's how to turn off eCheque in your PayPal settings:

1. Access payment preferences: Go to the Settings page in your PayPal admin and click on Payment preferences. In the Block payments section, click Update.

2. Block eCheque: In Block the following payments section, disable Pay with eCheque transfer for all website payments except eBay. This will update your payment settings. Customers will no longer be able to use eCheque for purchases, eliminating the issue of pending orders due to eCheque processing times.

Turning off eCheque is a simple yet effective way to avoid the confusion and potential delays associated with pending orders. This change gives you greater control over your payment processing and helps ensure a more seamless customer experience.
