A manual collection includes only the products that you choose individually. Because of this, the collection always contains the same products unless you specifically add or remove products. Manual collections take more work to maintain, but can be a good choice for small or specialized collections.
Creating a manual collection
1. Creating a manual collection: Navigate to your Shoplazza admin > Products > Collections, click on Create collection.
2. Navigate to product filters: After entering the collection details, navigate to the Product filters section to select a filtering method for organizing your products into collections.
3. Select product import method: Choose between importing your XLSX file or selecting your existing products.
Importing products through XLSX files
1. Start the import process: Click on Import to begin importing products through an XLSX file.
2. Add collection title: Enter the collection title and click Confirm to save changes.
3. Download and fill the XLSX template example: Click on Import template to download the XLSX file template. Use this template to fill out the required product information.
4. Upload the completed XLSX file: After entering all product details into the XLSX file, click on Select file to upload it to the system.
Selecting existing products
1. Add existing products: Click on Select product to add existing store products to the collection.
2. Apply filters: When you click on the dropdown, a panel will pop up with your existing products, where you can add filters to narrow down the search.
- Add more filters: Clicking on More Filters will go to another page, where you can add more detailed filters to precisely find the products you want.
3. Adjust collection settings: Click on Collection settings to choose how new collection items are displayed.
- Choose one of the following options:
- After all items: This setting places new items at the end of the collection list. This option is useful if you want to maintain the current order of items and have new additions appear last. It's a good choice when you want to highlight older items first or maintain a chronological order.
- Before all items (sticky-top): This setting places new items at the top of the collection list. The new items will remain at the top, ensuring they are the first things customers see when they view the collection. This option is ideal for promoting new arrivals or featured products that you want to prioritize.
4. Save settings: Click save to finalize your edits.
Using filters
1. Understanding filter conditions:
- When all conditions are selected, products are filtered out only if they meet all conditions.
- When any condition is selected, products are filtered out if they meet some of the conditions.
2. Setting filter links: Use multiple filtering sections and set links between filters to increase filtering accuracy.
- When Equal to is selected, products meeting all conditions will be filtered out.
- When Is not equal is selected, products meeting any condition of the filter sections will be filtered out.
