Manage Products | Update Shopify CSV Files with new fields

Simplify your product uploads to Shoplazza by leveraging your existing Shopify product data. This guide explains how to add new fields to Shopify CSV files specifically for import into your Shoplazza merchant store.

This process allows for better control over inventory, product categorization, and unique product identification within your Shoplazza environment. Improved data management contributes to more efficient workflows and better product organization on the Shoplazza platform.

Adding collection fields

The Collection field helps organize products into existing collections for better navigation and management.

1. Header field:

  • The header for the collection must be exactly Collection.
  • Any variation, including differences in letter casing, will cause the system to ignore the field during import.
  • This ensures that products are processed correctly during the CSV import.

2. Collection value:

  • Enter the names of existing collections in your store.
  • It’s important to only use collections that already exist. Do not attempt to create new collections within the CSV file.
  • If a collection name doesn’t match an existing one, the product won’t be assigned to that collection.
  • If a product belongs to multiple collections, separate the collection names with commas (,).

Adding SPU fields

The SPU (Standard Product Unit) field helps uniquely identify products in your store.

1. Header field:

  • The header for this field must be exactly SPU.
  • Any variation or incorrect letter casing will result in the field being ignored during the import.

2. SPU value:

  • The SPU is a unique identifier for each product.
  • Enter this value for single products (products without variants).
  • For products with variants, use the SPU in the main product section only.
  • The field allows a maximum of 100 characters for detailed product identification.
