When setting up payment options on the Shoplazza platform, you’ll find that credit card and local payment methods across different payment channels can’t be enabled simultaneously. This intentional design ensures smooth operations and prevents conflicts between payment providers, providing you with a reliable platform for your business.
How payment methods work
To offer a smooth and reliable checkout experience, here are some guidelines on how different payment methods work. Let's take a look:
Credit card payments
- Single channel activation: You can only accept credit card payments through one channel at a time. If you want to switch to a different channel, you'll need to disable credit card payments on the current channel first.
- Switching channels: To accept credit card payments from multiple channels, you can enable the "Adding routing rules" feature in the Shoplazza admin settings. This allows you to distribute transactions across different channels.
Note
To accept credit card payments from two channels simultaneously, go to your Shoplazza admin > Settings > Payments > Advanced Settings and enable the Adding routing rules feature. This setting lets you distribute transactions across multiple credit card channels. Check out Card Advanced Settings: Optimize your payment process for more information.
Local Payments
- Single Channel Activation: Just like credit cards, you can only enable local payments through one channel at a time.
- Switching Channels: If you want to switch to a different channel for local payments, you'll need to disable it on the current channel first.
Third-Party Payment Apps
Shoplazza also supports a variety of third-party payment apps. Here's how they work:
1. Third-Party Credit Card Apps: Third-party credit card apps follow the same rules as other credit card channels.
2. Third-Party Payment Apps: Third-party payment apps that are not specifically for credit cards are not affected by these rules and can be used independently.
