Revenue and cost metrics:

  • Net sales: The total sales revenue generated after accounting for any discounts and refunds. This metric provides a clear view of your overall income.
  • Gross profit: The difference between total sales and the cost of goods sold, helping you assess the profitability of your business operations.
  • GPM (Gross Profit Margin): The percentage of revenue that exceeds the cost of goods sold. This metric indicates how efficiently your business is generating profit from sales.
  • Net AOV (Average Order Value): The average value of orders placed after accounting for refunds. This helps assess how much revenue is typically generated per order.

Tax and refund metrics:

  • Sales tax: The total amount of sales tax collected during the reporting period, providing insight into your tax obligations.
  • Refunded units: The number of units customers return, helping track product return rates.
  • Refunded amount: The total value of refunds issued to customers allows you to monitor the financial impact of product returns.
