Enhance your customers' shopping experience by allowing them to select multiple options within a step. This feature is especially useful for choosing various coatings for glasses, letting customers select combinations like scratch-resistant, oil-resistant, and anti-fog coatings simultaneously.
Steps to activate multi-select mode
1. Access the prescription lens app: Go to Shoplazza Admin > Apps > Solution: Prescription Lens app.
2. Modify the workflow: Navigate to the Eyewear order workflow tab, select Glasses, and choose the workflow you need to modify.
3. Add a new step: In the Workflow preview, click Add step. Toggle on the Multi-select mode for options.
Customizing multi-select options and attributes
- Multi-select Options: Customize each step to support multiple or single selections, reflecting accurate pricing based on selections.
- Options and Attributes: Steps can have multiple levels (e.g., Step 5 might have options A and B, each with attributes like A: a1, a2, a3; B: b1, b2, b3). Customize multi-select support at each level to meet business needs.
Simplified steps for setting multi-Select
1. Activate Multi-select Mode for Options:
- If your workflow requires multiple selections for an option, activate the Multi-select mode for options button.
- If multi-select is not needed, keep this button deactivated for single selection as the default.
-
Example scenario: Coating selection
- If options include fingerprint-resistant (Option A), waterproof (Option B), and anti-reflective (Option C) coatings, enabling multi-select allows customers to select any combination of these options, enhancing customization and satisfaction.
2. Tailor attributes for multi-select:
- Determine if the attributes under an option should be multi-select based on your business requirements.
- Activate the Multi-select Mode for attributes button when needed, or leave it deactivated for default single selection.
- Example: Selecting a refractive index (single-select option) can lead to multiple coating options (multi-select attributes), allowing customers to choose a specific refractive index and then select multiple coatings.
Note
- Each option may have its own attributes, and you can control whether the attributes for each option support multi-select independently. For example, if the attributes for Option A should support multi-select, activate the Multi-select Mode for attributes button for Option A. If the attributes for Option B should not support multi-select, deactivate this button for Option B.
- Control over each option and its attributes allows for customization such as combining or isolating selections, with four possible configurations ranging from all multi-select to all single-select:
- Option Multi-select + Attribute Multi-select
- Option Multi-select + Attribute Single-select
- Option Single-select + Attribute Multi-select
- Option Single-select + Attribute Single-select
Exclusive selection mode
1. Exclusive options: When multi-select is enabled, you can set an exclusive option that prevents other options from being chosen once it is selected.
- Example: When selecting coatings, customers can choose multiple coatings or select "no coating." If "no coating" is chosen, other coating options cannot be selected, making "no coating" an exclusive option.
Note
- Exclusive selection mode button: This button only appears when the multi-select button is enabled.
- Set exclusive for options and attributes: Both options and attributes can be set as exclusive once multi-select is enabled.
By following these steps, you can provide a more customizable and satisfying shopping experience for your customers, enhancing their ability to choose products that best meet their needs.
