Prescription Lens app: Workflow preview | Glasses

Workflow preview window

This area provides a streamlined list of the steps in your fitting workflow. By default, the details for each step are minimized, making it easier to view the overall structure. You can expand these details by clicking the arrow icon next to each step.

Adding new steps in the workflow

If you have multiple lens attributes and want customers to make selections across different steps, you can add new steps. For instance, customers could select the lens type in Step 3, the refractive index in Step 4, and the coating film in Step 5. To get started, click the 'Add Steps' button on the Workflow preview.

Setting follow-up steps

When you add a new step, you can specify which steps will follow. This helps structure the workflow in a way that makes sense.

  • In the Select follow-up steps field, choose the steps that should come next.
  • For example, you could have Step 3 for lenses, followed by a step for selecting lens attributes like the refractive index or coating type.

Deleting steps and viewing connections

When managing your workflow, you might need to delete a step or see how steps are connected. To use these features, navigate to your Shoplazza Admin > Apps > Solution: Prescription Lens and choose one of your Workflows. Create a new workflow or modify an existing one. Here’s how these features can help:

1. Prompt when deleting steps or options: If you decide to delete a step or option that is integral to other steps, a new prompt will appear. This alert prevents unintended disruptions in the workflow's filter conditions due to the removal of interconnected steps.

2. Previewing associated steps: Clicking the Associated step icon next to a step name in the Workflow preview block will open a pop-up window showing the details of the steps connected to it.

Additional workflow management insights

Here are some tips for managing your workflow efficiently:

  • Single step follow rule: Each step in your workflow should lead to only one subsequent step. If a step (like step A) leads to multiple steps (like steps B and C), a yellow duplicate warning icon will appear in the Process preview block. Hovering over this icon will display a message: "This step is followed by multiple steps and the steps will jump randomly."
  • Follow condition selection: When setting follow conditions for a new step, if your chosen step is already being followed by another, you'll see an error message. However, you can still save this configuration. After saving, a yellow duplicate warning icon will be displayed in the process preview, alerting you to the potential issue.

Support for drag-and-drop step reordering in eyeglasses order workflow

Customizing the sequence of steps in your eyeglasses order workflow is now easier.

  • Customizing step sequence: This feature allows merchants to customize the sequence of steps in the eyeglasses order workflow for improved operational efficiency.
  • Creating and ordering new steps: Merchants can create and arrange new steps in the order process and set conditions for each step. When various new steps are created, each with different subsequent steps, they can be manually adjusted to preferred positions. This helps merchants visualize and understand the order and relationship between these steps.
  • Restrictions on reordering: The reordering functionality is exclusive to newly added steps. Standard steps, like the initial ones, cannot be moved.
