Adding iDEAL to Shoplazza Payments

1. Access your Shoplazza admin: Go to Settings > Payments and click the Manage button for Shoplazza Payments to access the payment settings.

2. Add iDEAL: In the Shoplazza Payments settings page, find the Local payment method section, select the iDEAL option, and click Save to apply your settings.

A: The payout currency is the same currency you selected during the Shoplazza Payments sign-up process. This can be checked in the Payout configuration section of the payment settings.

Q: What is the refund period for the iDEAL payment method (full/partial refunds)?

A: Refunds can be requested within 180 days of the original payment transaction. Once a refund is initiated, it takes iDEAL up to 5 business days to complete the refund process.

Q: How are disputes handled with the iDEAL payment method?

A:  iDEAL does not have a chargeback process, but full or partial refunds can be issued as needed.

Q: What are the fees for using iDEAL?

A: For Shoplazza Payments merchants, iDEAL fees are as follows:

  • Transaction fees:
    • 8 HKD per transaction for Hong Kong merchants.
    • 1 USD per transaction for US merchants.
    • 1 CAD per transaction for Canadian merchants.
  • Currency conversion fee: 2% if the transaction currency differs from the payout currency.
  • International payment fee: 1.5% for merchants outside the EU. (Note: The UK is considered separately from the EU for these purposes).
