This simple, yet powerful tool allows you to elevate the design and personalize the content of your messages, fostering better customer engagement and potential sales conversions. This article will walk you through the basic steps of setting up HTML templates in your SHoplazza admin.

Creating HTML templates

HTML, or HyperText Markup Language, is the standard language used to create web pages. It's the skeleton of any webpage, organizing content like text, images, and links on your site.

1. Head over to Shoplazza admin > Customers notifications.

2. Go to the template you want to adjust. Hover your mouse cursor over to trigger extra options.

3. Click Template management to configure the default template.

4. Click the New template button located on the top right corner.

5. Select Custom code template and click Next to start editing.

6. In template editor, fill in a valid name for this template.

7. Customize your email template by editing the HTML body and adding Shoplazza liquid variables. Use the Preview feature to check your changes.

Using liquid-order variables

Liquid is a simple language created by Shopify that helps to display dynamic content on web pages. It's perfect for showing changing details like customer names or product info on your website.

1. Shoplazza uses the quick and easy Liquid templating language for efficient template creation. For instance, you can use {{order.discount_code}} to display the applied discount code.

2. In Liquid, you can utilize {{order.line_items}} attributes for order-related variables. Check out our Liquid reference guide   for more details. The chart provided also outlines various variables that can help manage email templates in different scenarios.

Variable Example
{{reset_password.code}} Inputting the verification code in Reset member password template when your customer needs to reset their passwords.
{{unsubscribe.link}} Adding an unsubscribe link to your marketing emails.
