Firearms, Weapons, and Related Items Policy

Shoplazza prohibits the posting or sale of all offensive weapons, explosive devices, and merchandise containing explosive substances, striking weapons, certain knives, military items, and other dangerous weapons or merchandise that can be used as dangerous weapons.

For those firearms, knives, and related products and accessories that are allowed for sale, you must comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your business. These laws and regulations depend on the location of your store and the areas where your products are sold. You are responsible for properly reviewing and using this information. This content is not intended to provide legal advice, is not comprehensive, may be outdated, and is for reference purposes only.

If you have any concerns about the laws and regulations regarding your products, Shoplazza recommends consulting a legal advisor. You should consult your legal advisor to determine how the laws in your area and the areas where you sell firearms and related products will affect your business.

If you violate any laws in any jurisdiction where you operate your business, Shoplazza may remove products or terminate your online store.

Prohibited Items

The prohibited items in the following examples in this policy are not exhaustive and are for reference only.

Firearms Accessories

This policy prohibits the posting or sale of certain firearm products and accessories, including:

  • Firearm ammunition and ammunition components, such as shotgun shells, black powder, gun casings, cartridges, and shell casings
  • 3D printed guns and 3D gun models
  • Antique and collectible guns
  • Smartphone guns and other guns that resemble harmless objects in design
  • Sporting guns and hunting rifles
  • Wallet guns
  • Electronic guns
  • Homemade small handguns
  • Gun receivers, even if incomplete
  • Explosives, such as smoke grenades, flash grenades, flare guns, detonators, etc.
  • Gun accessories, e.g., loading handles, bolts and fittings, flash hiders, silencers, etc.
  • All internal and moving parts of the gun, e.g. gun frames, bolt carriers, buffer tubes, and related components.
  • Machine-gun conversion kits and all parts or combinations of parts used to convert firearms into automatic weapons
  • Items that have the appearance of a firearm and can be easily converted into functioning firearms
  • Any parts or accessories that violate local laws

Outdoor Items

  • Stun guns and tasers
  • Harpoons/spearguns
  • Blowguns
  • Crossbows
  • Batons and expandable batons
  • Tear gas

Military items

  • Any type of explosives, including grenades, landmines, missiles, rockets, or launchers
  • Ordnance, such as weapons or ammunition, whether or not the items are considered demilitarized or unusable
  • Items intended for military use
  • Military vehicles, including aircraft and vessels, and their parts and accessories
  • Military body armor, Level IV body armor, or body armor marked with "US," including Outer Tactical Vests (OTV) or Small Arms Protective Inserts (SAPI)
  • Detachable groin armor and neck armor
  • User manuals for military items

Please note that the U.S. government distinguishes between "defense articles" developed, configured, or modified specifically for military applications and "dual-use" items with both military and civilian applications.

Shoplazza does not permit the sale of U.S. defense articles listed in ITAR Part 121  .

Knives

  • Butterfly Knife (also known as "balisongs") - a knife with a blade enclosed by the handle, designed to split open from the middle to reveal the blade without the use of springs or other mechanical devices.
  • Concealed or Disguised Blades - blades or sharp tips hidden within seemingly ordinary objects (such as belts, phones, brushes, keys, lighters, or lipsticks).
  • Knuckle Dusters - straps made of metal or other hard materials worn on one or more fingers to cause harm. This also includes any weapon with a knuckle ring.
  • Zombie Knife - a knife with a blade, serrated edge, and imagery or text suggesting its use for violence.
  • Sword - a curved blade measuring 50 centimeters or more in length (measured from the tip of the handle to the tip of the blade in a straight line).
  • Swordstick - a hollow cane or walking stick containing a blade.
  • Throwing Knife - a non-flexible hard board with three or more sharp radiating points designed for throwing.
  • Stealth Knife - a knife made from a material undetectable by metal detectors.
  • Hand Claw - a loop of metal or other hard material worn on the hand with numerous spikes protruding.
  • Foot Claw - a stick made of metal or other hard material strapped to the foot with numerous spikes protruding.
  • Spiral Blade - a blade with a handle, a sharp pointed end, and one or more cutting edges forming a spiral shape.

Other Items

  • Certain martial arts items, examples are listed below:
    • Brass, plastic, or metal knuckle dusters, including keychains with spikes and rings or items worn on the knuckles for striking others
    • Lead canes, scepters, crutches and sticks
    • Nunchucks (also known as nunchakus or nunchaku)
    • Sandbags, sand clubs, or hard-headed soft whips (also known as soft steel whips or loaded coshes)
    • Darts
    • Oriental sticks
  • Clubs and Impact Weapons, including items used for striking people or animals, such as:
    • Police batons, truncheons and canes
    • Rattan sticks
    • Cudgels (when designed or used as bludgeoning weapons)
    • Long staffs and quarterstaffs
    • Short sticks, batons, and truncheons
    • Riot batons
    • Maces
    • Short clubs

Please note that the following items are not prohibited for sale under this policy but must comply with regional sales restrictions:

  • Crossbows and other archery bows
  • Handcuffs
  • Pepper spray
  • Slingshots, including slingshots with power bands
  • Stun guns and electric shock weapons

Permissible Items

Sellers on Shoplazza may sell firearms items that are permissible by adhering to relevant laws and regulations:

1. Air rifles and air pistols

  • BB guns, pellet guns, airsoft guns, air rifles, and air pistols must comply with the following sales rules:
    • Guns not exceeding 0.25 caliber
    • Airguns must have a permanently attached orange barrel plug and cannot be converted to fire any type of cartridges

2. Imitation firearms, toy guns, and prop guns

  • For the US region, replica firearms, toy guns, and prop guns must have bright orange barrel plugs and adhere to our guidelines.

For the UK and Europe region, the sale of certain imitation firearms is not permitted. Please refer to the guidance below:

  • Member states may have additional regulations and requirements and sellers need to comply with all applicable government regulations
  • This item has a permanently attached bright orange tube plug
  • Pictures are of the actual item for sale
  • The item description has the following disclaimer: ‘This replica gun contains the colored markings required by law, including a permanently attached orange barrel plug.’
  • The sale of replica gun parts and accessories for assault weapon models is not allowed.
  • In some countries, the sale of airsoft guns requires a specific license or registration:
    • Germany: Airsoft guns are controlled items under the Weapons Act, and their purchase and sale require compliance with specific licensing procedures.
    • France: The sale of airsoft guns is strictly regulated and certain types of airsoft guns are classified as Class II weapons and require a license.
