How to Prevent the Store Name in the Footer from Being Translated

To improve the shopping experience for customers in different regions, stores often enable multi-language plugins to support various languages. However, if you’d like to keep the store name in the footer copyright section in its original language to maintain brand consistency, you can achieve this by modifying your theme code.

注意

  • This involves editing theme code, which is a core feature. We strongly recommend duplicating your theme as a backup before making any changes. If you encounter any issues on the storefront, please immediately revert to the backup version and contact your technical team for further assistance.
  • Theme updates may override this code modification. After updating your theme, please check if the change remains effective.
  • If you’re looking to prevent page SEO titles from being translated, please refer to this article: Other Settings | Optimizing page titles for multilingual stores.

Steps to Follow:

1. Log in to your Shoplazza admin, go to Online Store > Theme Editor, click on the “···” button and select Edit Theme Code.

2. In the theme code editor, search for footer_additional.liquid. Under the snippets folder, open the footer_additional.liquid file. Locate the position shown in the screenshot and add translate="no" as shown. Then click Save. For specific adding locations, refer to the screenshots of each theme:

  • Farida

  • Hero Series (Hero / Modern / Halloween)

  • Nova 2023 Series(Nova2023 / Night / Sweet / Morning / Bamboo / Moon / Beautynow / Elechub)

  • Geek Series(Geek / Impress / Christmas / Petonly / Venue)

  • Wind

  • OnePage

  • Flash

  • Eva Series(Eva / Elegant)

Note

If you're using the Eva theme, please go to the sections folder and open the footer.liquid file. Find the spot shown in the screenshot and add translate="no" there. After adding it, don’t forget to save the file.
