V3.1.3 Version Update

1. 【Update】Customer Privacy now supports Google Consent Mode

  • Usage scenario:
    • The EU's DMA Personal Data Protection Act will come into effect on March 6th. Google now requires advertisers to secure user consent; failure to do so may impact your ability to place ads on Google and could even result in your store being banned. If your store operates in the EEA market and you're using Google's Audience or Conversion campaigns, we recommend installing this plugin and enabling Google Consent Mode. See the EEA countries here   .
  • Usage path:
    • Log in to admin backend > go to App Store > search and install Customer Privacy > go to "GDPR banner settings" and turn on Google Consent Mode.
  • Feature introduction:
    • The GDPR banner will appear based on the user's IP address. If the user is located in Europe, the pop-up will be displayed; otherwise, it won't.
    • When Google Consent Mode is on, it defaults to sending 'decline' data to Google, as per their requirements. The data is only changed to 'agree' after the user consents to the GDPR agreement.

2.【Update】New app: COD Risk Control

  • Usage scenario:
    • For merchants, Cash on Delivery (COD) payment involves more financial risk than online payments. That's why we've introduced the COD Risk Control app. This app allows merchants to set criteria for customers using COD. If an order doesn't meet these criteria, the app will disable COD and guide customers towards online payment, improving the success rate of COD deliveries.
  • Usage path:
    • Log in to admin backend > go to App Store > search COD Risk Control > click "Install"
  • Feature introduction:
    • Rick control rule settings: During customer checkout, our risk control system validates the transaction based on your predefined rules. If any rule is violated, the use of COD payment method is disallowed. We currently support four types of restrictions: blacklist/whitelist, order amount limit, order frequency limit, and inventory hold limit.
    • Data dashboard: To view the order information and verification data related to COD risk management.
    • Order management: To facilitate bulk order status updates, you can download our order import template. Fill it out according to the order statuses (completed, rejected, cancelled), and then import the list to update statuses in the Shoplazza backend system.

3.【Optimization】 Checkout page: Improved the accuracy of street address prediction data of Australia

  • Background info:
    • The logic of matching Australian cities and residential areas with postal codes differs from other countries. This discrepancy leads to mismatches between the city and postal code for Australian street addresses, impacting order fulfillment.
  • Optimization objective:
    •  Reduce errors in Australian orders caused by incorrect city and postal code matches from the address prediction service.
  • Usage path:
    • No additional operations are needed. Once the new version is released, customers can experience this update when they place an order in the store.
