Unlinking default credit card

Updating your payment information or switching to a new card is easy. This guide helps you remove a default bank card from your Shoplazza store, allowing you to manage your finances efficiently and securely. Ensure you have at least two credit cards linked before removing one to prevent service disruption. Removing the only linked credit card will close your store and unlink your custom domain.

Remember that a password is required if you need to close your store for any reason. If you've used Google's login services, select Forgot password, get a verification code, and create a new password. For more information, see Closing your store.

Removing your credit card

To remove your default credit card, follow these simple steps:

1. Access your payment methods: Log in to your Shoplazza Admin. Go to Settings > Plan and billing > Manage payment methods. This section allows you to view and manage all your payment methods in one central location.

2. Remove the card: Choose the payment method to remove, click the three dots (...), and select Remove. This will unlink the selected card from your account.

Note

After removing a card, set a new default payment method. Always keep at least one card linked to your account for uninterrupted service.

Important notes

  • After removing a credit card, make sure to select a new default billing method from your available options.
  • Always keep at least one credit card linked to your account to avoid disruptions to your store's operations. Without cards linked, your store will be closed, and your custom domain will be unlinked.
  • If you wish to remove your last credit card, you'll need to settle any outstanding commissions and temporarily close your Shoplazza store. Shoplazza provides a 60-day recovery period to relink a credit card and reopen your store. After this period, stored data will not be recoverable.

Removing your default credit card is simple, but it's important to remember these points to avoid issues.
