How to place test orders through simulated transactions

Using Shoplazza's Bogus gateway, you can simulate real online transactions by placing a test order. Bogus Gateway will help you set up correctly without you paying any charges.

Note

All other payment methods will be automatically disabled if Bogus Gateway is activated from the toggle switch. From there, every order will become a test order.

To activate Bogus Gateway and place a test order

You may directly place a test order to test your payment configurations if no payment method has been set up:

1.From Shoplazza admin, go to Settings > Payments > Click on Bogus Gateway > Payment scheme > Click Activate to enable Bogus Gateway.

  1. Go to your storefront and place a test order.
  2. On the checkout page, please enter the following credit card information to simulate different payment scenarios.

To activate Bogus Gateway and switch from a real payment provider to place a test order:

  1. From Shoplazza admin, go to Settings > Payments > View configured the payment scheme > Click Activate to enable Bogus Gateway.
  • By activating Bogus Gateway, all previously set payment configurations with real payment providers will be disabled automatically.

Enter any name

Credit card number

Enter 4200000000000000 to simulate a successful transaction

Enter 4111111111111111 to simulate a failed transaction

Enter any other numbers to simulate an exception. (this generates a message indicating that an error has occurred with the provider).

CVV

Enter any 3-digit number (for example, 111.)

Expiry Date

Enter any date in the future.

  1. Go back to your Shoplazza admin and click Orders to view transaction details from your test orders.
  2. Switch off Bogus Gateway or enable another payment channel to deactivate this gateway.

Tips

You may revert back to your previous payment configurations by checking the box in the pop-up window from Disable.
