PayPal’s integration with Apple Pay and Google Pay provides customers with a seamless and secure payment experience. This guide explains how to enable PayPal’s Apple Pay and Google Pay features in your Shoplazza store and manage domain settings for Apple Pay.
Apple Pay
When Apple Pay is enabled, eligible customers will see the Apple Pay option in the payment methods list at checkout. After selecting Apple Pay, they can click the Apple Pay button to complete their payment.
Apple Pay visibility
Apple Pay is exclusively available to users within the Apple ecosystem. To ensure Apple Pay appears as a payment option, the following conditions must be met:
- Device requirements: Apple Pay works exclusively on Apple devices, including iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
- Browser requirements: Apple Pay requires the use of Safari. It will not appear on other browsers.
- Apple ID requirements: The buyer must have a non-Chinese Apple ID with a valid card linked in their Apple Wallet.
- Testing considerations: If testing is conducted on non-Apple devices, non-Safari browsers, or using an Apple ID from China, Apple Pay will not appear.
Enabling Apple Pay
1. Access your Shoplazza Admin: Go to Settings > Payments > PayPal > Manage to get started.
2. Enable Apple Pay: Select the Apple Pay checkbox and hit Save to apply changes.
Apple Pay domain management
Apple Pay requires merchants to register their domain with Apple. When you enable Apple Pay, Shoplazza automatically registers your default domain with Apple to ensure your store can process Apple Pay transactions.
1. Adding Additional Domains: If you have multiple domains that need to be registered with Apple, follow these steps:
- Access Apple Pay settings: Log in to your PayPal Account and click Account Settings in the upper-right corner. From the left-hand menu, select Payment Methods, locate Apple Pay, and click Manage Apple Pay.
- Add a domain: Click Add Domain in the upper-right corner.
- Register the domain: Enter the domain you want to add and click Register Domain.
2. Removing domains: Navigate to Apple Pay Manage in your PayPal settings. Find the domain you want to remove and click Remove on the right-hand side of the domain listing.
Google Pay
When Google Pay is enabled, eligible customers will see the Google Pay option in the payment methods list at checkout. After selecting Google Pay, they can click the Google Pay button to complete their payment.
Google pay visibility
Google Pay integrates with the Google ecosystem and will appear under the following conditions:
- Browser Requirements: Google Pay is available on browsers like Google Chrome.
- Device Requirements: Google Pay appears on Android devices or other devices where users are signed into their Google account with Google Pay enabled.
- Wallet Requirements: A valid, linked card must be added to the Google Pay wallet.
- Testing Considerations: If testing is conducted on non-Google browsers or devices, or if the Google Pay wallet lacks a valid, linked card, Google Pay will not appear.
Enabling Google Pay

2. Enable Google Pay: Check the box for Google Pay and click Save.
