How do I set up marketing campaigns in my store?

Boost your customer engagement, up your store's conversion rate, and grow your sales using the features built into your Shoplazza admin. This is where you can set up different marketing campaigns, like rebates, flash sales, coupons, discount codes, discount with purchase, and bundled sales. To make things easy for you, we've put together a straightforward guide that goes over the rules, the steps to follow, the promotion types, and some tips. This guide is meant to help you understand and make the most of these essential tools.

Rebates

1. From your Shoplazza admin > Marketing > Rebate, click Create campaign.

2. Promotion types:

  • Spend a certain amount, get a specific amount off (Spend $, get $Y off): Example: If you spend $100, you'll receive $10 off your total.
  • Buy a specific number of items, get a percentage off (Buy X items, get % off): Example: Purchase 2 shirts and enjoy a 15% discount.
    • This includes:Buying a specific number of items, get a percentage off (Buy X items, get m% off): Example: If you buy 5 apples, you'll get a 10% reduction on the cost.
    • Buying a specific number of items, get a percentage off for a specific item (Buy X items, get m% off for the Xth item): Example: Purchase 3 books, and the 3rd book is 20% off.

  • Spend a certain amount, get a percentage off (Spend $, get % off): Example: Spend $50, and 5% will be discounted from your total purchase.

3. How rebates are applied: If an item is on sale, any additional discounts will be calculated using the sale price, not the original price.

4. Setting up a Rebate campaign: For instructions on creating Rebate campaigns, see Creating a Rebate campaign.

Note

Discounts apply in a specific order. If a product is part of more than one discount, the one specifically for that product is used first, then the one for its group, and lastly, the one for all products.

  • For example: If a shirt is in three sales at once:
    • One sale for all shirts
    • One sale for blue clothing
    • One sale just for that specific shirt

The discount just for that specific shirt is the one that counts. The others are ignored.

Flash sales

1. From your Shoplazza admin > Marketing > Flash sales, click Create campaign.

2. Promotion types:

  • Fixed discount (discount): The price is reduced by a set percentage. Example: A 10% discount on a $100 item reduces the price to $90.
  • Fixed price reduction (price reduction): A specific dollar amount is taken off the original price. Example: A $5 reduction on a $50 shirt makes it $45.
  • Fixed price (fixed price): The product is sold at a specific price, regardless of its original price. Example: A $200 watch is sold at a fixed price of $150.

3. How flash sales discounts are applied: If an item is on sale, any additional discounts will be calculated using the original price, not the sales price.

4. Setting up a Flash sales campaign: For instructions on creating Flash sales campaigns, see Creating Flash sales campaigns.

Note

  • Flash sales and original prices:
    • The discount in flash sales is calculated based on the original price of products.
    • If a campaign is for a specific collection, every product must have an original price to be included.
  • Changing Prices During Flash Sales:
    • Discounts are based on original prices. You cannot directly change the sale price in the "All products" section during a campaign.
    • If you want to change the sale price:
      • To Remove a Product from the Campaign: First remove the product, then you can change its sale price.
      • To Keep a Product in the Campaign: Change its original price in "All products" or adjust the campaign's discount price. After that, you can modify its sale price.

Note

  • Consumers need to click "Add to cart" on the campaign page to add the bundled products to the shopping cart instead of buying the products searately before they can enjoy the discounts.
  • Coupons and Discount codes can be selected to be used under other campaigns. If so, it is possible to use the Coupon/Discount codes when the price under rebate or flash sales or other campaigns meets the preconditions of the Coupon/Discount codes.
  • By default, campaigns including Rebate, Flash sales, Free gifts App and bundle sales App can be at the same time with other campaigns.
