Set Up Shipping Profile

Shoplazza shipping profiles can be set up for different countries/regions, with different shipping rate calculations, using order price, quantity, or weight as the differentiator.

At checkout, your customers can put aside products without an applicable shipping plan and continue checking out products that are eligible to ship. This can help increase your conversion rate.

1. Sign into your Shoplazza store

2. Click on "Settings" > "Shipping" > "Manage shipping rates".

If you are starting from scratch, you can choose between creating a general or custom shipping profile.

  • A "custom shipping" profile applies to select product(s).
  • A "general shipping" profile applies to all products that are not part of a custom shipping profile.

Whichever one you choose, their function is to set the shipping rates in different regions for certain products. The main difference is their scope of application.

  • A shipping rate can be added to more than one shipping profile
  • When products in an order are covered by different shipping profiles, and the same shipping rate has been added to these shipping profiles, then these shipping rates will be counted individually, and their sum will be the shipping cost shown to your customers
  • When products in an order are covered by different shipping profiles, but each shipping profile has a different shipping rate(s), then the sum of the lowest shipping rate from each shipping profile will be shown to your customers as the shipping cost

6. Enter a Description for your shipping profile

  • This description should outline how your shipping rate is calculated
  • The description will be shown at checkout to your customers unless items in the order are covered by different shipping profiles with different shipping rates

2. If you want to add a custom shipping profile, you need to complete the settings according to the red banner prompts.

  • The red banner will prompt There are zone profiles with the inconsistent configuration of Cash on delivery under the general shipping profile. You need to follow the red banner prompt to complete the setting of the zone profile that needs to be set before creating a custom shipping profile.

Why does the shipping rate under the same zone profile need to have a unified configuration of "Whether cash on delivery is supported"?

It is to improve the purchasing experience of customers, so the shipping rate under the same zone profile needs to unify whether to support the configuration of cash on delivery, especially when multiple shipping profiles are configured, it can improve the purchasing experience of customers. If this unified setting is not performed, there will be cases where the shipping rate corresponding to the product purchased by the customer partially supports the shipping rate, and some do not support the shipping rate.

3. Follow the red banner prompts to complete the setup.

  • Enter the general shipping profile.
  • Find the shipping zone profile that needs to be set.
  • Click Settings in the "Cash on Delivery" column.

Scenario 1: When a customer buys products A and B, the order placed area is the United States, and the total Order price (Tax included) is $22.

When the order does not contain any marketing discount, the applicable shipping profiles are "DHL: 21<Order price<50, shipping amount is $15" and "UPS: 21<Order price<50, shipping amount is $25", so the customer can select the following two marked shipping cost.

When a discount of $10 is applied to the order, the total amount of products (including tax) in the order is updated to $12. The conforming shipping profile is "DHL: 0 < Order price < 20, shipping amount is $10" and "UPS: 0 <Order price<20, the shipping amount is $10", so the customer can choose the following two marked shipping cost.

2. Shipping cost calculation case when order products are in the different shipping profile.

When setting the shipping rate with the order price as the shipping condition, the value of the order price is the total order price after the ordered product price + product tax - marketing discount.  When the shipping costs of the products ordered are under different shipping profiles, the shipping cost under each shipping profile needs to be added together as the total shipping cost of the order.

  • When the shipping costs of the products purchased by the order are under different shipping profiles, and there are shipping rates with the same name in the shipping profiles, the shipping rates with the same name will be added as the total shipping cost for the order (see the case of scenario 1 for details)
  • When the shipping rates of the products purchased by the order are under different shipping profile, but the shipping rate names are inconsistent among the shipping profile, the shipping rate with the smallest amount from each shipping profile will be added as the total shipping cost (see the case of scenario 2 for details)

E($10)、F($10)

Scenario 1: When a customer buys products A, B, C, and E, the order placed area is the United States

At this time, since product C does not have a corresponding shipping rates set in the U.S, customer can choose to move product C out of the checkout process to continue the checkout.

After removing product C, the total amount of the ordered product (tax included) is $33, and the shipping cost is calculated as follows:

The purchased products A, B, and E are located in shipping profiles 1 and 2 respectively, so the total shipping cost of the order is the sum of the shipping rate of shipping profile 1 and 2.

The total amount of the order (including tax) is $33, so there are the following two rates that meet the shipping profile 1.

DHL: 21<Order price<50, the shipping cost is $15

UPS: 21 < Order price < 50, the shipping cost is $18

The total amount of the order (tax included ) is $33, so there is the following two shipping rate that meets the shipping profile 2.

DHL: 21<Order price<50, the shipping cost  is $50

UPS: 21 < Order price < 50 , the shipping cost is $40

Therefore, there are two shipping costs that customer can choose, namely:

DHL profile, corresponding to shipping cost of $65 (DHL $15+ DHL $50)

UPS profile, corresponding to shipping costs of $58 (UPS $18+ UPS $40)

Scenario 2: When a customer buys products A, B, and E, the order placed area is the United States.

At this time, the total amount of the order (tax included) is $33, and the shipping cost calculation details are as follows:

The purchased products A, B, and E are located in shipping profiles 1 and 2 respectively, so the total shipping cost of the order is the sum of the shipping rate of shipping profile1 and shipping profile 2.

The total amount of the order (tax included) is $33, so the shipping rate that meets the shipping profile 1 is as follows.

DHL: 21<Order price<50, the shipping cost is $15

DHL: 0 < Order price < 50, the shipping cost is $20

The total amount of the order (tax included) is $33, so the shipping rate that meets the shipping profile 2 is as follows.

Standard: 21<Order price<50, the shipping cost is $50

Since there is no shipping rate with the same rate name among the rates of the products A, B, and E that match the shipping profile 1 and the shipping profile 2, the total shipping cost of the order is the added shipping rate with the smallest shipping rate value in each shipping profile.

Therefore, the shipping rate that the customer can choose is "Shipping", and the shipping cost is $65 ($15+$50). ( When there is no shipping rate with the same shipping rate name in each shipping profile where the ordered product is located, the shipping rate name displayed to the customer will be "Shipping" by default)

E、F (the product that does not require shipping)

Shipping rate 1: When the product quantity is 0-1, the shipping cost is $15

Shipping rate 2: When the product quantity is 2-6, the shipping cost is $20

Shipping cost calculation case:

When the order is placed in the United States

  • When the customer buys products A and B, the purchase of product quantity in shipping profile 1 is 2 products, so the shipping cost is calculated under shipping profile 1, which is $20.
  • When the customer buys products A, B, and E, the purchase of product quantity in shipping profile is 2 products and the purchase of product quantity in shipping profile 2 is 1 product. The shipping rate of shipping profile 1 is $20, and the shipping rate of shipping profile 2 is $15. So the total shipping cost is 20$+15$=35$
  • When a customer purchases products A, B, E, and F, since the products that do not require shipping are not included in the conditions of the shipping quantity condition, the eligible purchased product quantity of the shipping profile 1 is 2 products, and the qualified products quantity of the shipping profile 2 is 1 product, so the shipping rate of shipping profile 1 is $20, and the shipping rate of shipping profile 2 is $15, so the total shipping cost is 20$+15$=35$.

Shipping cost calculation case:

When the order is placed in the United States

  • When the customer buys products A and B, the purchase of the product quantity in shipping profile is 2 products, and the cumulative weight of the products in the shipping profile 1 is 10g, so the shipping cost of the shipping profile 1 is $15.
  • When a customer buys products A, B, and E, 2 products were purchased in shipping profile 1, and the cumulative weight of the products in shipping profile 1 is 10g; 1 product was purchased in shipping profile 2, and the cumulative weight is 5g, so the shipping cost of shipping profile 2 is $15, so the total shipping cost is 15$+15$=30$.
  • When a customer purchases products A, B, E, and F, since the products that do not require shipping are not included in the conditions of the item weight condition, the eligible purchased product quantity of the shipping profile 1 is 2 products, and the cumulative weight of the products in shipping profile 1 is 10g; The qualified products quantity of the shipping profile 2 is 1 product, and the cumulative weight is 5g. So the shipping rate of shipping profile 1 is $15, and the shipping rate of shipping profile 2 is $15, so the total shipping cost is 15$+15$=30$.
