What registration materials does Stripe require?
1.Required: Hong Kong (CN) bank personal or company account
2.Optional: Hong Kong (CN) company in Hong Kong, China
3.Not required: Hong Kong (CN) ID
It’s challenging to open a bank account in Hong Kong (CN) due to policy reasons. When applying for a Stripe account, a Hong Kong (CN) company is not required. You can choose to open a personal account. However, opening an account in your company’s name will provide more stability. We recommended that you register a Hong Kong (CN) company first.
What information do I need to open a Minsheng Hong Kong (CN) account?
1.A Passport or Hong Kong and Macau Pass: remaining validity must be more than three months.
2.Proof of residence: a utility bill with the applicant's name, proof of residence, or lease issued and stamped by the community.
3.Minsheng Bank debit card: apply for an ordinary debit card, and deposit 50,000 RMB, this amount can be withdrawn after a month.

Minsheng Banks can get quite busy. Before applying for a Hong Kong (CN) account, we recommend making an appointment with an account manager. After about 10 working days, your Hong Kong (CN) account will be issued, and you can start filling out the online form to apply for a Stripe account.
How do I register for a Stripe account?
The steps are simple and take about 4 minutes to complete.
Visit: https://dashboard.stripe.com/register, fill in the following information according to the page prompts:
1.Email: This email will be used to login into your account and receive notifications, as well as data collection and authentication notices sent by Stripe. Proceed with care.
2.Full name: You can fill in the name of your organization administrator or the abbreviated name of your organization;
3.Password: no less than 16 English letters, with at least a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter, a number, and a special symbol (for example: @).
- After confirming the information and entering your password again, you can click "Create your Stripe account".
The page will automatically refresh, and a pop-up will remind you to add a phone number that can be used to retrieve the account. Institutional administrators can choose "Send Confirmation Code" or "Skip", as needed.
- Stripe will send a confirmation to the corresponding mailbox once the actions above have been completed. To ensure the account can receive payments and function without issues, the account administrator needs to confirm the email address by following the email prompts.
- Once the account has been created, you can link it to your SHOPLAZZA admin.
